Cheers to 20 Years of Beers 🌊

What a ride it's been. Since opening our doors in 2005, IOBC has grown from a local microbrewery into a coastal institution, still proudly independent as we remain true to our uncomplicated ethos of brewed local for the locals. Not trying to be the biggest, we have still managed to become known for our award-winning beers, relaxed coastal vibe, and front-row sunset views over the marina. We have become a go-to destination for both northern suburbs locals and visitors from across Perth.

To mark two decades of brewing on the coast, we are throwing a month-long celebration of all things beer, inviting patrons to raise a glass and be part of the milestone moment. At the heart of the celebration is the debut of Indi Platinum White – a reimagined brew of IOBC White Cap, first brewed over 15 years ago.

Available for a limited time throughout June, each purchase of Indi Platinum White puts punters in the draw to win the Ultimate Mindarie Day Out: a private fishing charter for six with Mindarie Charters, followed by lunch and beers at IOBC. We have a packed month of entertainment to keep the vibes going, with live music every weekend, a 2005 edition of Boombox Bingo and the much-anticipated Battle of the Ex-Brewers on Friday, 13 June, where former IOBC brewers return for a one-night-only epic beer showdown.

The anniversary also sees the return of the award winning Oaklore, with a limited beer brewed with Whipper Snapper Distillery, paying homage to IOBC’s small-batch heritage and long-standing collaborations. The 20-year celebration is not only a tribute to our roots and brewing legacy, but a toast to the years ahead and what’s still to come.

Featuring Superdelic & Sequoia, two hops that our brewers have an ongoing love affair with. Superdelic hails from NZ and features unique aromas of red fruit and candy. The Marina’s BBQ festival returns on Saturday, May 17. You can expect BBQ & slow cooked cuts, rubs, sauces and spices as well as whiskey & rum tastings and a host of live music. Head to The Indi as Kick off the day with The Rusty Pinto bring the Garden Bar to life from 12pm.

Head to the IOBC boardwalk stall for Slow Cooked Wagyu Brisket burger while inside, our famous BBQ board is back- BBQ wings, pastrami sliders, pork belly burnt ends, smoked brisket, jalapeno & pork sausage, corn bread, mac & cheese, slaw & sauces at $159 (serves 2-4). Bookings essential.
