Collab of the Brews is landing at Indian Ocean Brewing Co. next Thursday 🍊🍺

This month, it’s not a battle… it’s a collaboration between mates, breweries, and marinas.

The Indi have teamed up with the legends at PHat Brew Club to create something special for you all:

✨ California Squeezin’ ✨
A modern Cali IPA built for sunshine, coastal sessions, and big flavour.

Bursting with bright blood orange character and saturated NZ hop aroma, this 5.8% IPA brings Riwaka, Nectaron and Eclipse together for huge notes of mandarin, passionfruit, peach and fresh citrus zest. A clean malt base keeps it crisp, while subtle mash-hopped complexity rounds it out for an outrageously easy drink.

Crafted by our Brewer Mike, this Red IPA brings together rich caramel malt character with toasted dark fruit notes, lifted by NZ Superdelic and US Citra hops for bursts of tropical fruit, candied citrus, pine and grapefruit. Balanced, bold and built for easy drinking.

Battle of the Brews was back at the Indi this month and things got properly cheeky 🍻

We teamed up with Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co for a night of fresh pours, friendly rivalry, and plenty of paddles making their way across the bar.

The votes are in, and the results were...
1. Fireside Red
2. Export Stout
3. Pale Ale
4. Hazy Pale
5. Implication & WCIPA

A huge win for Fireside Red taking out the crown by the narrowest of margins, with Export Stout right on its heels all night long. We also had Fireside Red merch on deck and flying out the door while the votes rolled in 🔥

Big love to the Cheeky Monkey crew for bringing the fun, and to everyone who came down, grabbed a paddle, and made it another top-tier night at the marina!

We’ll let this one settle… then it’s on to the next round 👀🍺

Half Mast brought home a trophy 🏆

At the Perth Royal Food Awards, our crisp mid lager Half Mast took out Best Low Alcohol Beer Draught 2026.

Made with all-Australian malts and hops, Half Mast was designed to be smooth, easy-drinking and steady as she pours.

In a field full of incredible breweries and beers, we’re absolutely chuffed to see Half Mast recognised. A huge thank you to the Perth Royal Food Awards, the judges, and award sponsor Lallemand Brewing, and congratulations to all the winners.

👀🍻 To celebrate, we’re giving away 50 free pints of Half Mast to the first customers who mention the word “Trophy” at the bar.
