D.Jays Gourmet stems from a husband and wife team that started over 20 years ago. Derek a highly skilled butcher, along with wife Jo were producing biltong for their friends and family who, like them, had immigrated to Australia from South Africa. As the smell filtered through the neighbourhood and word got out about the delicious biltong and dried sausage they were making, soon the whole community was asking for D.Jays products. It didn’t take long before Derek and Jo were kept extremely busy trying to keep up with demand of the delicious flavours being produced for their customers. In 1999 the family upgraded to a purpose built factory in Malaga to distribute biltong and jerky across Australia.
D.Jays is now Australia’s leading supplier of packaged jerky and biltong, priding itself on the highest quality products, standards and customer service. Supplying major Australian retailers such as Caltex service stations, BWS liquor stores, IGA supermarkets, PUMA Petroleum and many more retail groups and outlets.
