What a trip! What a group!
The memories made in the magical, Carnarvon Gorge in Queensland's central highlands will linger long after the boots are unpacked and the dust settles.
Tour Leader's Tara & Yo, reflect on the adventure:
From the moment we arrived after the long drive across Outback Queensland, this group of adventurous women embraced every moment with curiosity, good humour, and a genuine spirit of connection.
We wandered through ancient landscapes guided by local knowledge, from the stunning Art Gallery with its powerful Aboriginal rock art, to the dramatic sandstone walls of the Amphitheatre and the tranquil beauty of the Moss Garden.
Winds may have tested us, but they didn’t stop us! From sunrise lookouts and rock-hopping through Warrumba Gorge, to tackling the steep climb up Boolimba Bluff and enjoying wildlife encounters under the stars — each day brought its own set of surprises and quiet joys.
Our final hike to Big Bend capped things off beautifully — 21km, 34 creek crossings, and plenty of shared laughs along the way. One pair of boots even made their final trek!
To the women who joined us — thank you. Your positivity, support for each other, and sense of adventure made this tour something truly special. Here's to more walks, more stories, and more memories together. Until next time! 💚👣
