Axito has a strong track record of securing grant funding for our clients through the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program, with multiple successful applications since the Program’s inception.

Our grant specialists combine a thorough, quantitative and analytical approach with the ability to tell a compelling story, aligning each application with the economic priorities of the relevant Development Commissions.

In Round 8, client Ningaloo Reef Adventure Camps (NRAC) was awarded the largest RED grant in the Gascoyne Development Commission! An outstanding achievement that will help drive sustainable tourism and regional growth.

With $150,000 in RED Grant funding, NRAC will double visitor capacity from 1,750 to 3,500 guests per year, replace ageing tents with high-wind-rated glamping units, expand staff accommodation and upgrade ablution and dining facilities.

New Grant alert for Northern Territory Businesses
Grow your Business Program opens Friday 9 October, 2026 🔓
The Northern Territory Government Grow your Business Program aims to strengthen capability, improve resilience and pursue sustainable growth.

There are three tiers of funding available:
Tier 1: Business Capability, up to $5,000
Tier 2: Business Growth, from $5,001 to $20,000
Tier 3: Business Transformation, from $20,001 to $50,000.
Funding can be used for professional advisory and specialist services.

The latest Research and Development Tax Incentive Transparency Report, for claims made in 2023–24 has been released by the Australian Taxation Office. The report provides insight into the companies and industries claiming R&D and includes a data report and analysis report.

Key highlights
💰 $16.7 billion in R&D expenditure was claimed, up 3% from 2022–23.
🏢 13,490 companies claimed R&D expenditure, a 4% increase year-on-year.
📈 Small businesses represented the largest group of claimants
🌏 Australian-owned companies accounted for 93% of claimants
🔬 The professional, scientific and technical services industry continued to claim more R&D expenditure than any other industry and represented 44% of all claims.

Round 3 of the WA Government's Carbon Innovation Grants Program now open! Two grant funding streams are available

1) Feasibility Studies: Supporting technologies and methods to
progress from concept to real-world trials.

2) Pilot Projects and Capital Works: Supporting real-world testing of
innovative technologies and methods from pilot stage through
to full- scale deployment.

Funds available for Round 3

Feasibility studies
- Minimum funding limit of $50,000 and a maximum funding limit of $500,000, which must be no more than 50 per cent of eligible project costs.

Pilot projects and capital works
- Minimum funding limit of $100,000 and a maximum funding limit of $1.5 million, which must be no more than 25 per cent of eligible project costs.

Round 2 of The Transforming Queensland Manufacturing Grant Program (TQMGP) is now open!

Round 1 of this Queensland Government grant saw 18 grants awarded, 11 of those based in Regional Queensland. A total of $12.5 million is available for Round 2, with eligible businesses able to apply for up to $1.5 million in matched funding.

The TQMGP provides grant funding to support Queensland based small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) to strengthen productivity and competitiveness.

The program enables businesses to invest in advanced manufacturing equipment, helping drive innovation, improve efficiency, and build a more competitive manufacturing sector across Queensland.

Grants between $100,000 and $1.5 million are available for:
🔸 Advanced manufacturing equipment which meets program
objectives
🔸 Software purchasing to support system integration and
manufacturing process improvement.

Applications are now open for the Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Industrial Transformation Research Program (ITRP).

ITRP supports University researchers to partner with industry in priority areas for Australia. The program supports collaboration that translates research into new technologies, products, jobs, economic growth and broader societal benefits.

The current Industrial Transformation Priorities include:
🔸 Renewables and low-emissions technologies
🔸 Medical science
🔸 Transport
🔸 Value-add in agriculture, forestry and fisheries
🔸 Value-add in resources
🔸 Defence capability
🔸 Enabling capabilities

The ITRP offers two pathways:
🔬 Industrial Transformation Research Hubs (IH)
Supporting cutting-edge collaborative R&D between researchers and industry, with funding of $500,000–$2 million per year for 3–5 years.
🎓 Industrial Transformation Training Centres (IC)
Developing highly skilled HDR and postdoctoral researchers through close university–industry partnerships, with funding of up to $2 million per year over 4–5 years.
