W.A. just keeps getting more stunning; we've spent the last few days in Coral Bay, another hidden gem to us folks from the East, with endless clear water, coral reefs, 4x4 tracks, and a pub, so here are the pics.

Breakfast with huge views this morning; we drove to the Exmouth lighthouse and then out to the point to see the SS Mildura shipwreck (not a great place to park a boat). There seem to be a lot of references in the area to Harold Holt! After trying to drive toward the large UHF spy antennas out back on the point, where security is on the ball, we are still not sure what is happening out there—it could be submarines—then we came back past all the satellite dishes and another stunning beach. There seems to be a lot going on around here. We also called into the aquarium. Good day

Yardie Creek is about 90km from Exmouth, and the drive takes you past the lighthouse and through Cape Range National Park. The reef and turquoise water looked so unreal that I actually had to swap my glasses just to make sure I was seeing it right; it was stunning. We took a boat tour at the Yardie creek and loved spotting the rock wallabies and all the birds. I also spotted an Australian Bustard along the way and I dont mean "Knoxy",😆

Oh, look, a Station Stay! Bullara Station this time. We loved the rustic charm and the fully air-conditioned bathrooms. Great campfire and bar area. Even though we didn't go to the restaurant, the sausage rolls were amazing.

Onslow, what a nice little town on the coast, about 70 km from the national highway. We spent three nights on the water, a welcome change after Karratha, another mining town known for salt and iron. Judging by the work going on around the town, it looks like there's a bit of growth happening. The new caravan park only opened in June.
I loved the Shrine of Remembrance, and the statues around the town were well worth the visit. Great fish and chips at the pub too.
