Did you know...

Port Augusta is traditionally known for hot summer days and balmy nights, Port Augusta is all about keeping cool and avoiding the heat. Long summer days are spent at BBQs and eating out, early morning activities and visits to the Ryan Mitchell Swim Centre and the Foreshores are a must!

Did you know...

There are more than 15 murals and sculptures waiting to be discovered across Port Augusta’s C*D!

Take a 3km journey through the Mural Trail and discover the stories, culture and creativity hidden throughout our city.

Enjoy ‘Tales of the Infinite’ on the exterior wall of the Public Library, and ‘Celebrating Indian Culture’ at the LG Riches Centre, plus a collection of artworks created for the Desert Fringe 2017 and bridge duplication project, located under the Joy Blauch AM Bridge. Allow an hour to wander through the city and view these amazing pieces of art with plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

Did you know...

Barngarla and Nukunu people are the Traditional Custodians of the ancestral lands, and as it has been in the past, and continues to be, a meeting place, with members of many different language groups calling Port Augusta home.

Port Augusta’s Railway Station precinct has undergone a transformation to become a vibrant location for visitors featuring the Platform Gallery which has a vibrant selection of arts and crafts from local artists. To complement the gallery, the railway siding café has been rejuvenated to become a modern coffee shop, ideal for visitors waiting to board the historic Pichi Richi Railway.
