🎉 You're Invited! Port Broughton Civic Square Art Celebrations 🎉

After public consultation, the Port Broughton community expressed a strong desire for cultural art in the redeveloped Civic Square. Thanks to a successful collaboration between Barunga West Council and Nharangga Aboriginal Progress Association Inc, grant funding was secured to bring this vision to life. 🌿🎨

Join us as we celebrate the unveiling of the stunning Nharangga artwork on Sunday, 6 October from 11:30am - 12:30pm, thanks to the RAA's Grassroots Giving Program, during the Broughton Seaside Markets.

Highlights include:
◾️ Speeches by Mayor Kerley and Artist Linda Turner
◾️ A traditional smoking ceremony
◾️ Traditional Nharangga Food Stall
◾️ Attendance by official delegates from Barunga West Council, Port Broughton RSL, and Parliamentarians.

We can't wait to share this special moment with the community. All are welcome to be part of this celebration.

💦 Splash Pad Now Activated at Civic Square! 💦

We’re excited to announce that the splash pad at the newly redeveloped Port Broughton Civic Square has been activated today! Just in time for the school holidays and with the warmer weather on the way, including a forecast 27°C this Saturday 🌞

The splash pad will operate daily from 7am to 10pm (adjusted to 9am-6pm during May-August) and provides the perfect way to cool off while enjoying the new square.

To activate the water jets, simply press the button on the metal pole at the edge of the splash pad – it’s easy, and the jets will run for a fun-filled 10 minutes! 🎉

How to Operate:
◾️ Find the button on the metal pole
◾️ Press once to activate the 15 jets
◾️ Enjoy the water play, which will last for 10 minutes per press

The splash pad is part of the new Civic Square, which will be celebrated at a special event on October 6. Until then, feel free to come down, cool off, and enjoy this fantastic new feature of our community.

From Tuesday 19 December to Friday 22 December between 10 am and 2 pm 🕙🏰✨Come and immerse yourself in the festive magic, explore the amazing cave, and capture the holiday spirit with some wonderful photos! 📸🎁🎉

While Santa is busy preparing for his big night, he won't be available during these times. Nevertheless, the Santa Cave is brimming with joy and festive vibes, making it the perfect spot for a jolly good time! 🎅🌈✨
