🏃‍♀️🌴 RUN PORT DOUGLAS – SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER

Port Douglas is getting ready for a fantastic morning of running this Saturday!

There will be some temporary road closures and changed traffic conditions around town, but the good news is Port Douglas is still open and you CAN still get in and out of town. 🙌

🚗 Access via Davidson Street & Port Douglas Road will remain available throughout the morning, just allow a little extra time between 6am–9am while traffic control is in place.

⛵ Heading out on an early reef trip? Wharf Street is part of the race precinct, so give yourself a little extra time getting to the Marina. If you’re staying in town, walking down may be the easiest option.

And if you don’t have plans Saturday morning...... now you do! Grab a coffee, head out and cheer on the runners as they make their way around Port Douglas. 👏🏃‍♂️

🏁 All events finish on Four Mile Beach, right in front of the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club so head down and help give the competitors a brilliant Port Douglas welcome across the finish line!

It feels WAY too early to be thinking about next year but apparently you lot disagree because our first batch of beautiful 2027 Shanna Trees Creations calendars flew off the shelf in less than a week! 😂

The good news? They’re back! 🙌

Featuring gorgeous artwork inspired by our incredible Far North Queensland wildlife, these beauties are the perfect little piece of the tropics to take home and they're created by local FNQ artist Shanna Trees Creations. 🌿🐢🦋

So while we’re not quite ready to start planning January 2027 just yet… we ARE saying get your calendar before they disappear again! 👀

With Skyrail Rainforest Cableway currently undergoing its exciting upgrade, things are working a little differently for the next little while - but you can absolutely still experience this iconic day out. 🌿

🚡 Skyrail’s new Kuranda to Barron Falls Loop Experience is operating Wednesday–Sunday
🚂 Kuranda Scenic Railway is still running
🌿 And yes - you can still combine the train + Skyrail Loop to get the best of both worlds!

💦🌴 Staying fit on holiday doesn't get much more tropical than this!

Aqua Sculpt Floating Fitness in the pool at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas, palm trees overhead and not a treadmill in sight. Now that's our kind of workout.

The only question is... does swimming to the pool bar count as a cool down? 🍹😉
