You wouldn't believe that these red
bass are bright red on the surface! 🐟

Red Bass play a wonderful role in explaining the loss
of colour when scuba diving. Red is the first colour
that disappears with orange, yellow and green
following suit.

You may have already noticed that these are the
colours of the rainbow. Blue, violet and indigo are the
last three colours of the rainbow. Therefore, they are
the last three colours you are left with in the deep blue
ocean.

Sea slugs, doing what they do best!
Slugging around 😌

In this slight montage, we have 4 different
nudibranchs.

They often appear where prey like hydroids, sponges,
or soft corals are thriving. Seeing them can signal a
healthy micro-ecosystem.

Different colours, different shapes , same family. Every
one of these sea slugs is a slow moving specialist built
to survive the reef in its own way!
