🎣 Just reflecting today on the two year photo difference 🛥
It’s hard to believe it’s been just over two years since we took over Port Hughes Fishing Charters… and what a wild ride it has been! 🥹
Between the algae bloom, fishing restrictions, the ongoing snapper ban and everything else that has been thrown our way, the last two years certainly haven’t been easy. And it hasn’t just affected us — it’s had a massive impact on so many local businesses, families and industries that rely on fishing and tourism.
But through all the ups and downs, we’re still here. We’re still going. And we’re still doing what we love. ❤️
For Tom, he genuinely couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Fishing isn’t just a job to him — it’s his passion, his livelihood and, let’s be honest, probably his addiction 😂🎣. There’s nothing he’d rather be doing than being out on the water, putting people onto fish and sharing his love of fishing with others.
And that’s what Port Hughes Fishing Charters is really all about.
It’s about getting out on the water, having a laugh, enjoying a day away from the everyday grind and creating memories that people will talk about for years to come. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman, have never held a fishing rod before, or you’re bringing the kids along for their first ever fishing adventure — everyone is welcome. 🐟
Some days are about filling the boat with fish, other days are about the stories, the laughs, the wildlife, the sunsets and simply spending a day together on the water.
We’re incredibly grateful to every single person who has jumped aboard, supported our little business, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, bought a voucher or simply cheered us on from the sidelines.
Two years down… and we’re not going anywhere. 💙
Here’s to plenty more days on the water, plenty more fish, plenty more laughs and most importantly, plenty more memories made at Port Hughes. 🛥️🎣
