Port Neill Primary School and Playcentre

Port Neill Primary School and Playcentre Port Neill is a rural primary school set in an idyllic location on the Lower Eyre Peninsula coastline.

Port Neill is a small rural primary school set in an idyllic location on the Lower Eyre Peninsula coastline. The town of Port Neill has changed over the years from being a service centre for the surrounding farming areas, and is now predominately a holiday and retirement centre set on a picturesque bay. The school has enviable facilities and resources, with pleasant, spacious and practical learnin

g areas. A new classroom was provided during 2010 under the Commonwealth Building the Education Revolution funding. There is 1:1 ratio of students to laptops, a wireless broadband network, and interactive whiteboard technology is in use. Video Conferencing facilities assist in delivering Indonesian Language lessons to students through blended learning. The school has a friendly, family atmosphere and a strong rapport between staff, students and parents. Due the low student to teacher ratio, early intervention to provide targeted assistance to all students is possible. A particular strength of the school is the ability to cater for individual differences and develop individualized programs for every student, addressing their needs in a comprehensive manner. The school is an integral part of the Port Neill community with regular social events bringing the community together.

Book Week Boss

We are entering our very own, Julie Will into ABC Radio Adelaide’s Book Week Boss competition.

In our unique school of 26 students, Port Neill Primary School has the Book Week Extraordinaire, Julie Will. Julie has gone above and beyond, getting her whole family involved in making props to set up our library with planes, trains, ticket stations, hot air balloons and fairy gardens, allowing our students to embrace the Book Week theme and get lost in their own adventure. Julie is so in tune to all our students that she is always on the hunt to find books that will capture their interest and encourage healthy reading habits for now and in the future. We think she is the absolute best!

Flowers, flowers, flowers!! 💐
Come and get your flowers, available in our market cart for $10 a bouquet. They look and smell fantastic.

Our very clever Upper Primary Students have been busy this afternoon and have made 10 bouquets of flowers all from flowers and foliage grown on our school grounds.

We also have lemons, passionfruit, mandarins, parsley bunches, bookmarks and potted plants available to purchase.
Our students have been very busy this week and haven’t had a chance to update the price list.
Any donation for our goods would be much appreciated.

🎉 A Huge Thank You to Variety SA! 🎉
We’re incredibly grateful to Variety – the Children’s Charity of South Australia for their generous contribution to our Resource Shed Project. 🙌

Thanks to their support, we’re one step closer to creating a safe, functional, and inclusive space for our students to learn, play, and grow.
This shed will serve as a vital resource for our school community — and it wouldn’t be possible without Variety SA’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of our children.

💛 Thank you for helping us build more than just a shed — you’re helping build brighter futures at Port Neill Primary School, Port Neill Play Centre and our community.
