A fabulous local annual event yesterday raised over $4000 in support of Royal Flying Doctor Service WA and our Quairading Hospital.

Congrats and thank you to all involved, including visiting golfers from near and far.

National Volunteer Week

According to the 2021 ABS Census almost a quarter of our fabulous Quairading residents volunteer - amazing!

Volunteers provide immeasurable value to their communities by delivering essential services, fostering social cohesion, and even driving economic growth.

Our volunteers include St John ambulance officers, fire brigade members, Meals on Wheels and community car drivers, Tidy Town members, op shop vollies, office bearers and committee members of a myriad of clubs and organisations and individuals who contribute quietly behind the scenes.

All in all they're a mighty fine mob and we wouldn't be the extraordinary community we are without them - huge thanks to them all!

Have you noticed the Pathways to Wave Rock signs as you head to Quairading and some of our neighbouring towns? Here are our four sign images.

We are one of eight Shires who are members of the Roe Tourism Association and go under the self-drive trail banner of Pathways to Wave Rock.

Beverley - Bruce Rock - Corrigin - Kondinin - Kulin - Lake Grace - Narembeen - Quairading plus the towns of Hyden, Karlgarin, Lake King, Newdegate & Varley.

By being part of a group of towns we're each able to help promote others events, attractions, camp sites, granite outcrops, art, wildflowers and more. It's way better for us (and visitors) all to be working together rather than in isolation.

Nearby self-drive trails include Wheatbelt Way and Eastern Wheatbelt Self-Drive Trail and we're all perfect for Wheatbelt weekends and road tripping anytime.
