G'day Everyone,

I'm Nicholas Meyers, co-owner of Quorn Walking Tours with my sister Ruby. It's been a while since we took over from Jacinta, and while this page hasn't been active, there have been things going on in the background -- lots of research into Quorn's history, and learning plenty of things even I wasn't aware of even though I've live here my whole life.

We're still getting the hang of things moving forwards, but are excited about what we can bring to the table in showing people the many amazing aspects of our town, and the incredible history buried beneath.

I would like to welcome Nicholas and Ruby Meyers as the new owners of Quorn Walking Tours!

As we all know the Meyers family are passionate about Quorn.

Ruby loves history and will be running the tours on the weekends.

Nicholas will be boarding the buses and providing tours.

As a supportive family unit Quorn Walking Tours will be successful.

I look forward to hearing about what “the younger generation” do with Quorn Walking Tours”! I know Ruby loves Halloween - so watch out for fun times ahead!!

Good luck and all the best!

Thank you to everyone who has been supportive of my little idea 😊

We have a couple of extra spots this Saturday at 10am for a walking tour.

This tour is a special for the Mill Motel package Elizabeth House Backpackers and Hostel

It includes a tour of the Pithi Kawi Bush Food Garden, a small Taste of Quorn featuring some local products and native mint tea. We will then continue on over to the CBD for a taste of history-which will include ducking in on the local shops and Courthouse.

$20/person for approximately 1.5 hours.

Lovely comments from a lady I met whose Dad was one of the Diggers who was shown hospitality in WWII by the CWA and Quorn people.
We were able to source a copy of the “Salute to Quorn “ book by Mrs McColl from Mrs Francis at Junction Art gallery.

“I have shown so many of my friends the lovely video we did about Dads travels to Quorn and the wonderful care shown to them all.
We walked to the Diggers Bridge then the hall and took lots of photos.
I can’t thank you enough for your knowledge you shared with me, it was very emotional in a good way. Will wait to hopefully hear you can track down a copy.
We did have a good holiday, but Quorn and meeting you was my highlight.”

How lovely is this message from Tony and Dina winners of the Adelady competition:

Hi Jacinta we just wanted to say thank you for a very informative walk through Quorn yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We did pick some of the native mint and 🤞 it takes. Good luck with your Walking Tours. You are certainly passionate about your town. Once again thanks. Dina & Tony

A glorious day for a tour with Dina and Tony. Their lovely daughter donated her prizes from the Adelady competition to them to enjoy!

The Flinders Ranges Council as part of the tiny town competition won a package to promote Quorn.

We certainly turned on a great day and our guests were impressed with our tiny town 😊

They had a ride on the Pichi Richi Railway yesterday. Watched the Quorn Silo Light Show.
Enjoyed meals at the Austral Hotel and Transcontinental Hotel, Quorn. Had a coffee at the Quandong Cafe and Devonshire tea at Teas On The Terrace Quorn.
They enjoyed their grazing boxes from Me & Moo Co. under the shade at the Pithi Kawi Bushfood Garden.
We popped in on our lovely shops Flash As and A Dash Of Oak.
A great photo opportunity at the Great Northern Lodge and Conference Centre, Flinders Ranges
They promised to return to stay at the Elizabeth House Backpackers and Hostel and catch up on the. Things they didn’t see this time!
