This is where aviation providers need to do better.

Six weeks ago, we paid for an IFR database update for a Garmin 400.

The data was corrupted.

Since then:
Multiple support requests
Hours of operational time lost
Repeated follow-ups

And the outcome?

Jeppesen says it’s Garmin
Garmin says it’s Jeppesen

Meanwhile, we’re left with:
• An unusable IFR GPS
• A paid service not delivered
• Zero accountability

Today we were asked again
“Has the latest update fixed the issue?”

No. It hasn’t.
And we’ve already said that.

This is not just poor customer service.
This is a breakdown in responsibility between two major aviation providers.

In aviation, current navigation data is not optional.
It is fundamental to safe operations.

Operators should not be stuck in the middle of supplier disputes while paying for a service they are not receiving.

It’s time for Jeppesen and Garmin to take ownership and fix this.

Because right now, the system is failing the very people it’s supposed to support.
