We've always known Deloraine is special. The first time we came to Tassie, we fell instantly in love, and within a year, we'd moved here.

Even now, we pinch ourselves to be sure we're not dreaming. I mean, how lucky are we to live here!

So it came as no surprise to us when Deloraine won the Tasmanian Tourism Town award. Well done, Deloraine!

Liffey Falls is one of my favourite walks. I'm not sure which part I like best - the falls themselves or the walk through the man ferns to get down ṭo the falls.

Our beautiful Clyde bath dates back to 1900. She's a grand old thing, but it got to the point where she needed some urgent R&R.

Fortunately she's still structurally sound, but the interior needed to be ground off and redone.

With a bit of luck, she's ready for another 125 years of service.

This little guy lives down at the tiny house. Actually, I think it might be a girl (judging by her generous hips. I'm serious - the girls are way bigger than the boys).
We see Tasmanian mountain dragons here quite often. They rely on camouflage quite heavily, just hoping you won't see them. This girl is quite red, just like the dirt here. They only move if you're about to step on them. Or when you're watering the garden and accidentally give them a shower.
How lucky are we to have such marvellous creatures here in our backyard!
