Whether you are starting out or are an experienced painter with your own style, we are about sharing this experience and enjoying each others company. "We put you in touch with people and places that will make your senses sing and dance in anticipation of more." Places we love to go to KYOTO, JAPAN We sketch and paint our way around famous Kyoto, meet local artists, visit their studios and galleries, along the preserved streets of "old Japan". Stop at traditional tea houses, temples, and gardens that make Kyoto what it is today. Our accommodation is Boutique hotels and renovated and preserved wooden townhouses (Machiya) overlooking the river. We try our hand at Sumi-E painting under the expert guidance of accomplished local artist Saori . Kyoto flourishes as a cultural, religious and economic center with vast array of world heritage sites. We focus on exploring the art and cultural highlights in Kyoto like the not be to missed autumn clad mountain region of Arashiyama. Boat along the river, walk and sketching the preserved streets and scenery as we go. HOI AN & HUE, CENTRAL VIETNAM – BEACHES, SCENERY & HISTORY The historic township of Hoi An is the "Jewel in the Crown" of Vietnam. Graceful historic Hoi An is Vietnam’s most atmospheric and delightful town. Once a major port, it boasts the grand architecture and beguiling riverside setting that befits its heritage and where the 21st-century curses of traffic and pollution are almost entirely absent. Whether you’ve as little as a day or as long as a month in the town, it is time well spent. Hue is the old capitol of Vietnam. A revival of fortunes has preserved the face of the Old Town area and its incredible legacy of tottering Japanese Merchant houses, Chinese temples and ancient public buildings – you’ll find some superb bicycle, motorbike and boat trips – and some of central Vietnam’s most enticing, bucolic scenery and beaches within easy reach. ANGKOR TEMPLES, CAMBODIA Angkor Wat and the many surrounding temples are an amazing holiday destination, something to be discovered and explored. Our holidays take in all that is on offer of the Grand Temples of Angkor. We tour selected temples with our temple guide and travel in the local Tuk Tuks - a great way to get around. Our artist takes us for daily classes and a Master Class Workshop in watercolour and pen & ink sketching. We visit the Great Lake Tonle Sap and the Stilted village, local cuisine, country farmers markets and of course there is time to relax by the pool or shop.
