2026 PRE-ORDERS NOW OPEN

Waratah plants can now be pre-ordered to collect on 3rd, 4th & 5th October 2026 (long weekend) at Robertson Heritage Railway Station or by special arrangement from 19th September.

Today, the Robertson Heritage Railway Station Inc. was pleased to host Carol Berry MP, the Federal Member for Whitlam, for a visit. Hosted by RHRS President Col McMaster and Treasurer Anne Wilson, opportunity was taken to provide Carol with an overview of RHRS and ‘who we are and what we do’. With a busy period ahead, involving the Waratah Weekend, Rainforest Festival and the School of Arts Show, it was an ideal time to reinforce to Carol the role that RHRS has to play in the community and the support that is received. Every year while the Waratahs are in flower the Fettlers Shed Gallery hosts an Art Exhibition. ​

2026 Theme: “The Joy of Art”

Opening on 26th September and runs for 3 weekends (or weekdays by appointment)

Robertson Heritage Railway Station - Spring Events

Our gardens, grounds and picnic area are open to enjoy every day of the year.

Waratah Season is approaching from mid September through October.

Robertson during Waratah Season boasts a mass display of Waratahs in full flower along the railway line at the Robertson Heritage Railway Station, as well as magnificent flower displays in the walks on the common.

Cut flowers, live plants, and packages of seeds will be sale at the Railway Station on the October long weekend (3rd to 5th October).

Plant Sales: Potted red flowering Waratah plants grown from seed harvested at the railway station as well as limited stocks of hybrid plants with red, white, yellow or pink flowers will be available.

Plants may be pre-ordered from mid-September.

The Robertson Heritage Railway Station volunteers have supported two Tour trains in the last 2-weeks. Firstly, Cruise Express Railway Journeys ran a ‘Mystery Tour’ that stopped at Robertson on 2nd July and onboard patrons enjoyed a lunch at the Robertson Hotel. And yesterday, 12th July, we again welcomed the Cockatoo Run (operated by East Coast Heritage Rail), that operated a 'Christmas in July’ tour with over 240 train patrons enjoying the hospitality of local establishments, despite a chilly westerly wind!

Malicious damage to the Main Station Building at Robertson Heritage Railway Station.

The incident occurred at approximately 11.36pm on Friday 22nd May and some activity was captured on CCTV. This is now in the hands of the Police.

The damage includes ruptured copper water pipes supplying the ladies' toilet and sink, broken wastewater pipe, smashed drain head and damage to the concrete wall panels.

Also damage to plants in the garden border, and significant furrows in the eastern lawn.

Robertson Railway Station is a community asset maintained by volunteers and the community should value it and not tolerate such vandalism.
