This is a 5km looping track great for a morning or afternoon visit to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. The loop starts near the West Head Lookout (a great spot to have lunch and take in the views of the ocean and Palm Beach peninsula). The track travels down to Resolute Beach and passes by West Head Beach before heading back up to the Red Hands Cave.

Along the start of the Resolute Track, there is a significant Aboriginal historical site where carvings of a male human and hunting tools can be found. The artwork is estimated to be approximately 5,000 years old but is very well preserved. The loop has quite a few stairs so be sure to bring water and some sturdy shoes to help you navigate the steps. Enjoy the footage!

This is an 8.5km one-way track along the beautiful coastline of Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Located just over an hour by car from Sydney City Centre, this is a popular track that can be done in pieces of 2-3 km each or the entire 8.5kms from Putty Beach to McMasters Beach.

The track takes you along beautiful rock formations with ocean views and native Australian flowers along the way. There are also many coastal bird species all around. The track is not easy. It is a great workout with the many steps up and down. However, the part of the track between Putty Beach and Maitland Bay Beach is a bit easier than the rest.

Starting in Darling Harbour, walk the coastline of the Sydney CBD (Central Business District) hitting the most iconic landmarks: Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens as well as the newly-developed area of Barangaroo. The route is almost entirely flat and has many restaurants and cafés along the way to take a rest and enjoy the views (and people watching, of course!).

This is our first city hike. Despite being 100% urban, you will definitely come across an abundance of Sydney’s resident wildlife: Sulfur-crested cockatoos, White ibis (aka Bin chickens), Rainbow lorikeets, Magpies, Plovers, and more. Take a look into the water as you may also see jellyfish and stingrays swimming in the shallows. Enjoy!

While taking a break for some lunch beside Hacking River in Royal National Park, we spotted a huge Spiny Crayfish in the water. We sent the in for a closer look. Turns out, he either wanted to have a go (this is Aussie for ‘wanted to fight’), simply was curious…or wanted a hug?!

Similar to a Yabbie, these Crayfish are endemic to Australia but unlike Yabbies, they have spines all over their claws and thoracic region. Stunning colours - reds, oranges and blues with unique almost iridescent white spots in a beautiful arrangement.

The spring flowers are out! The Waratah Trail is a 10km return track in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is 1 hour north of Sydney City Centre and is one to visit during spring. The abundance of wildflowers in bloom makes this hike extra special at this time of year. In particular, the stunning Waratah flowers are out.

Great for a beginner hiker, this track is fairly flat with gradual elevation change and a wide track most of the way. There are a couple of lookouts over the park and are nice spots to take a rest, including at the end of the track. Along the way there are also interesting rock formations caused by erosion. Enjoy the footage!

We found a Lace Monitor (Goanna) along the Bobbin Head Track in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. These guys can grow up to 1.5m to 2m long so this one must be a young one. While not overly aggressive, they can bite so it is best to take a quick look and leave them alone. Always great to see them out in the bush!

(Watch in HD) What a lookout! This 4.5km return hike in Barren Grounds Nature Reserve is an awesome hike with a very, very rewarding view at the top. Pack a lunch and enjoy it with a spectacular view on the plateau. Sit at naturally-made rock formations in the shape of tables…and yes there’s even one shaped like a chair!

If you’re in the Shoalhaven Region near Kangaroo Valley, Australia add this one to your list. It's a must-do if you’re visiting. Enjoy the footage!
