Sarina Sugar Shed Queensland's sugar cane industry is rich in history, with many stories to tell. Scheduled tour times are 9.30am 11.00am 12.30pm and 2.00pm.

Take a tour and taste the action at our miniature sugar mill and boutique distillery. Open Monday to Sunday 9.00am to 4.00pm except Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Advance bookings are highly recommended as we do book out during holiday periods. Arrival time is 15 minutes before your tour time. Tours include taste testing of our very own rum liqueurs, our range of Chefs' Gusto gourmet p

We are located in Sarina, 37km south of Mackay at the southern end of town. We can be found within the gorgeous Field of Dreams Parklands precinct, alongside the Sarina Visitor Information Centre, Sarina Arts & Crafts, Sarina Museum and the Sarina Art Gallery, which are all housed in historic buildings.

To celebrate, we’re opening our doors for a FREE Open Day on Saturday, September 12 from 10am–3pm.

Something pretty special is coming to Sarina Sugar Shed…

Introducing our Mini 1.5L American Oak Barrel, crafted from select American oak and pre-filled with our 40% Cane Spirit.

Choose from Ex-Tawny Port or Ex-Muscat, with each barrel offering its own unique influence as the spirit matures.

With a medium char, the American oak brings through beautiful notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and gentle spice. And because smaller barrels age spirit much faster than traditional 200L barrels, you’ll get to watch the flavour develop over the coming months.

Each barrel comes with care instructions and tips from the Sugar Shed team to help you get the best from your ageing journey.

Just remember… while it matures, the angels or maybe the devil will always take their share. 😉
