Quick trip up the mountain this morning so the kids could check out the snowmaking prep for next weekends season opening ❄️ We are situated at the base of Mt Buller and I tend to get shocking car sickness on the drive up any mountain, so traffic conditions were awesome for me today - dry, clear, quiet and only 25 minutes

FESTIVAL UPDATE

What exactly are you "signing up" for when you come along to the Mansfield Lantern Festival? Here's a few updates for 2024.....

📌Time - we've tweaked the timing a little this year and will kick off at 4pm (and run through until 9pm)
📌Location - we're in the same spot - the carpark in Erril street just off High Street. The entrance to the space is opposite IGA
📌Parade - our fabulous Community Bank Mansfield & District Lantern Parade will kick off from 5.30pm. This is open for anyone to participate in (in fact YOU make up the parade!) Make a lantern and walk through the streets. It's lots of fun! Registrations (FREE) are online www.trybooking.com/CRMLB to help us with numbers
📌Entertainment - Mansfield Shire Youth are opening up their back gates and will have live music from 4pm - 6pm before our DJ kicks in, there is free facepainting, glow in the dark basketball, performers, open fires, lots of stalls and an opportunity to rug up and celebrate the winter solstice with friends.
📌Food / Drinks - our vendor list is on our webpage www.mansfieldlanternfestival.com.au/eat-drink so that you can see what is on offer (especially for those who have dietary requirements - it's all listed)
📌 Stalls - we're confirming a range of stalls for our 'market place'. Mermaidia Braids will be returning this year for more festival hair!

We’ve been renovating!
As much as we loved the big bathtub in Amaruq, we felt that replacing it with a huge shower would make the space much more accessible and user friendly- plus it gave us the opportunity to get an extra toilet and basin installed.
Still needs some styling and finishing touches, but we can’t thank Daryl, Darren and Andrew enough for getting it done before Christmas!
