This photo was taken along the Hallett Cove Boardwalk. It’s part of an area called the Sugarloaf which is a cone shaped mountain made up of sediments deposited in a lake that was formed as the ice sheet melted around 280 million years ago. 🩵

The coastal track from the Seacliff Beach Retreat hugs the shoreline taking you along the cliffs towards Marino Rocks. The views up and down the the coast are simply stunning. You can go slow and amble whilst stopping at a range of lookout posts and guides to spotting the local bird life and fauna. There are several places you can sit on a bench to take in your surroundings or simply breathe and have a rest. Continue along the path towards the Marino Rocks Social. A landmark building that’s been transformed into a high quality community run cafe and restaurant. The meals here are prepared with fresh, local and sustainability as their core ethos. The patisseries made on-site are also to die for. Whether a glass of wine and a gourmet meal are your thing or a coffee and delicious breakfast or lunch you won’t be disappointed. Who needs to go to Greece when we have it right here at our doorstep?
