As a travel advisor, my job is to get you where you want to go safely and confidently.
Right now, Australia's Level 4 travel advisory for Middle Eastern airports is making travel harder than it needs to be.
Transiting through Dubai or Doha for a few hours is not the same as travelling in a war zone.
I'm backing ATIA's campaign to bring advice in line with the UK, Germany and France.
Importantly we still have plenty of options to travel to Europe via Asia if you prefer, but the thousands of pax transiting through the Middle East deserve to have insurance coverage in airport.
We are currently the only country in the world that has a level 4 advisory - which impacts travel insurance coverage.

I have not long returned from Santorini where tourism is thriving.
This was my 5th time to Greece and I was reminded once again just how much and why I love it so much.

There’s a relaxed cosmopolitan feel on Santorini.
The vibe is chill, the scenery is spectacular and the people are beautiful.
And the food - the food incredible!
Those authenticity simple but flavoursome traditional Greek dishes combined with every island’s defining interpretation of each dish along with the creative presentation ensures that every meal is not just food, but a cultural journey.

Santorini has many accommodation options and I am very fortunate to have experienced many of these through my visits.

On this occasion I stayed at the stunning Canaves Oia Suites
Oia is a little quieter than Thira.
The perfect location for couples, honeymooners or those just looking for a little more tranquility.

Not all Business Class products are created equal… and that’s exactly why I believe firsthand experience matters. ✈️

As a travel professional, I make it a priority to experience as many airlines, cabin classes and destinations as possible so I can confidently match my clients with the right product — because luxury travel is never one-size-fits-all.

Quite simply: I go so I know.

With so many differences between airlines — from seating configurations and privacy to service, dining and lounge access — personal experience allows me to give genuine, informed recommendations rather than simply selling from a brochure.

So I thought it was time to start reviewing some of my favourite Business Class experiences… and first up is Finnair onboard their Airbus A350.

Did I love it? Absolutely. ✅

What immediately stood out was Finnair’s unique wraparound lounge-style seat design. Unlike traditional reclining Business Class seats, this oversized cocoon-style seat doesn’t actually recline — instead, it cleverly transforms into a fully lie-flat bed using a simple lever system.

I also loved the understated Nordic styling throughout the cabin. Clean lines, calming tones and a beautifully designed layout gave the entire space a sophisticated, boutique feel.

The onboard dining was exceptional, the service warm and polished, and the overall experience felt effortlessly premium.

Another major plus? Finnair is part of the Oneworld alliance, making it a fantastic option for travellers looking to earn valuable status credits and frequent flyer points, depending on fare and routing.

And a special mention must go to the Business Lounge in Helsinki… easily one of my favourite lounges I’ve experienced. 🥂🍷

Back onboard, storage throughout the suite was generous and practical. The noise-cancelling headphones were excellent — something becoming increasingly standard in premium cabins, but still appreciated on long-haul flights.

If I had one criticism? Privacy.

I’m personally a huge fan of fully enclosed suites, and while the Finnair design is stunning, the lack of a sliding privacy door means it doesn’t quite offer the same secluded feel as some competitors.

As for pricing — like all premium travel — cost varies depending on seasonality, route, demand and travel dates.
