We’re extremely proud to share that the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre has taken out silver at the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards in the Visitor Information Servicing category – right behind City of Melbourne Visitor Services, who claimed gold.

For a regional centre like ours to be ranked second across the entire state, ahead of some of Victoria’s biggest tourism destinations, is an extraordinary achievement and a credit to our hard-working Visitor Centre team and amazing volunteers.

From supporting major events like the GT Nationals, to innovative projects like the Careful Cobber TAC Pause Stop installation, our team continues to punch well above its weight.

👏 Congratulations to everyone involved in the Shepparton & Goulburn Valley destination brand and the Visitor Economy team – this is a big win for our whole community!

I volunteer for:
The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre.

My favourite thing about volunteering is:
I get to help others as well as learn new and useful skills, and gain new knowledge myself. I have learned so much about Shepparton whilst volunteering at the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre, and I enjoy the natural and artistic beauty surrounding the centre I volunteer in.

I recommend volunteering because:
It’s an easy and worthwhile opportunity to gain work experience and develop skills for forever employment. It also offers you the opportunity to help others and interact with different diversities that will help with your social skills.

Good luck to all the Goulburn Region finalists in the 2024 Victorian Tourism Awards. Winners will be announced at the award ceremony tonight. These awards recognise leaders in tourism excellence.

We're delighted to have the Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre as a finalist in the Visitor Servicing category and Greater Shepparton City Council as a finalist in the Local Government category.

Also representing the Goulburn Region as finalists are: Tastes of the Goulburn, Go Adventure Nagambie and Trawool Estate.
