BREAKING NEWS

It is with sincere regret that Tempo Holidays and Bentours (AUS/NZ) advise that as at 3.00pm, 19th September, 2019 the business has been placed in voluntary administration.

Tempo Holidays and Bentours (AUS/NZ) have been advised by Cox and Kings (India) that the company have been in recent weeks seeking investors/buyers with heavy interest however as this has not been materialised as of today Tempo Holidays and Bentours are unable to continue operating in AUS/NZ.

The board is in the process of appointing an official administrator who will then co-ordinate with all the interested parties.

While today the staff have been dealt with the devastating news, Tempo Holidays and Bentours staff will be working with respective agents/suppliers and clients to assist in next steps once confirmed.

It is understandably a sad day for all staff concerned along with trade. Tempo Holidays and Bentours have been wholesalers within AUS/NZ for over 30 and 40 years respectively and have experienced great success and growth over recent years. We have had the pleasure in providing dream holidays for all of our customers. We are proud and thank all of our passionate and supportive staff for their contribution and dedication over the years. We also extend our deepest and sincere gratitude to all of our travel agents and trade partners for their loyalty and their continual support over the years.

Traveling to Iceland, Norway or Alaska? 🤔 Then we can probably safely say you’re hunting to see the Northern Lights! ✨😍 Below is our top three tips when you’re looking to photograph the lights 🙌

👉 Head outside and dress warm! Don’t expect the hotel personnel to wake you up. Sometimes auroras last several minutes or sometimes only a few seconds.
👉 Be sure to have your camera ready! You don’t want to start setting up your camera when once you see the lights because by the time you’re ready, they may be gone.
👉 Bring a little chair or blanket because you may spend hours outdoors.

Welcome to Northern Europe! Scandinavia- It’s on the bucket list of many international travellers, and with good reason. But how much do you really know about the region?

Read on, with a cup of coffee (see point 4) and learn about this friendly region more travellers are becoming obsessed with…

1. Scandinavia consists of three countries: Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Some definitions also include Finland and Iceland, but this wider group is more commonly known as the Nordic region.
2. Scandinavians can more or less understand each other. All three languages are closely related as children of ‘Old Norse'.
3. Football is a summer sport. In Scandinavia, football (soccer) is played in the summer, not through the winter as with the major European leagues.
4. The region is coffee-obsessed. Nordic coffee culture is not the secret it used to be. Five Nordic countries place in the world’s six biggest coffee consumers
5. All three countries use the Nordic cross. Fun with flags! The flags of Denmark, Norway & Sweden all share a similar off-centre cross design. The colours are different of course.
6. Swedish kids do Halloween at Easter. They don’t dress up as ghosts or ghouls, rather witches!
7. Scandinavia is the world’s happiest region. Along with their Nordic neighbours, the three countries consistently rank high in the UN’s World Happiness Report.
8. Swedes are big on recycling. Only a few percent of household waste ends up in landfill

1. Iceland was settled by Vikings from Norway sometime in the 800s.
