📱 Phone and Network system outage ☎️
Council is experiencing a network outage at the moment which is affecting a number of phone and payment systems.

- If you call Council it is currently diverting to the after-hours service. This is also impacting our venues such as the Visitor Information Centre, Entertainment Venues, and Gallery and Museums.
- For all non-urgent enquiries, we'd encourage you to be patient, and if possible call back on Monday from 8:30am.
- The outage is also impacting Eftpos payments across a number of our offices and venues.
- This outage is also affecting the MyTRC app, including the sports field status.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We'll let you know when the network is back!

🚧 Further update to Road Closure - Scenic Road 🚧

Scenic Road will remain closed to all pedestrians and vehicles until the conclusion of the Tamworth Skywalk Grand Opening formalities, at approximately 11am, Saturday 29 August.

Not long now until the amazing Skywalk opens! 🏜️

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE - SCENIC ROAD 🚧

UPDATE 19 AUGUST:
As mentioned last week, works to relocate the overhead power on Scenic Road underground have taken a little longer than originally anticipated due to harder-than-expected rock encountered underground.

We’re continuing to encounter challenging ground conditions and are working with expert contractors to determine the best solution to complete the works.

Unfortunately, this means we need to extend the Scenic Road closure once again, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Scenic Road will remain closed to all pedestrians and vehicles until the conclusion of the Tamworth Skywalk Grand Opening formalities, at approximately 11am, Saturday 29 August.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we enter the final stages of this very exciting project.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Earlier:

Works to relocate the overhead power underground have taken a little longer than originally anticipated due to harder than expected rock encountered underground.

As a result, the Scenic Road closure has been extended until 6pm Wednesday 19 August, including Saturday 15 and Sunday 16, to allow the works to be completed safely.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these works are finalised.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Previously:

Scenic Road will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians from 10pm Sunday 9 August – 6pm Friday 14 August.

The closure will allow for overhead power cables around the Skywalk bridge to be relocated underground and will provide a safe work area for contractors.

During this period, the Oxley Scenic Lookout, Kamilaroi Walking Track and surrounding trails will also be closed.

Thank you for your patience as we continue work on this exciting project.
