I snuck in a sketch last night in the semi dark while the TV was on! and then finished it off this morning.
I have been so busy prepping for my sketching tours which commence this month in France and have really missed not being able to sketch something.
I’m so out of practice. I use the wrong damn paper and wondered why my watercolor was not working!
I want to thank for giving me the inspiration which she in turn got from .
Thank you both.
Can’t wait for the next two months of travel sketching and tours and inspiration!

A bit more ROMANIA to tickle your fancy
A vibrant, diverse, fascinating culture and history.
It has stupendous castles popping up all over the place, colorful buildings, the stunning Carpathian mountains and then farmers on their iPhones on a horse and cart tilling the fields.
And of course, Dracula….. sort of.
A real hodge-podge contrast.
I’m going for a reconnaissance this June to fine tune a sketching tour there in 2026 .

Off to ROMANIA in June doing a reconnaissance for a tour there in 2026.
It is the most fabulous fascinating country and such a mixture .
Did you know that most of the food is organically grown?
It’s also the only Eastern European country that has a Latin based language like Italian Spanish and French, so it’s relatively easy for Westerners to learn ….. (well easier than a Cyrillic alphabet eastern Slavic language is anyway….)
Looking forward to going back. My travel sketching tour there was interrupted by Covid so here’s hoping it’s back on track!
