Morning legends!

Well, well, well… 30°C has finally appeared on the Perth forecast for Wednesday. Winter has barely finished packing its bags and summer is already standing at the front door asking if it can come in. 😂

Perth is currently tipped to reach 30°C on Wednesday 16 September, which would make it our first 30°C day of Spring.

And it’s been a while…

🔥 The last time Perth reached 30°C was 14 April, when the temperature climbed to 30.3°C.

That means we’ve gone roughly five months without cracking the magical 30°C mark.

The warm-up looks pretty decent too:

☀️ Sunday: 21°C
☀️ Monday: 24°C
🌤️ Tuesday: 26°C
🔥 Wednesday: 30°C

Then, because Perth weather has the attention span of a toddler in a lolly aisle, Thursday drops back to 26°C with showers developing, followed by 21°C and rain on Friday.

So enjoy Wednesday’s little preview of summer.

Spring has apparently found the thermostat and, naturally, has immediately started fiddling with the bloody thing. 😂

The current Perth outlook has us climbing nicely:

🌤️ Monday: 24°C
⛈️ Tuesday: 27°C
☀️ Wednesday: 29°C

TWENTY. BLOODY. NINE.

Wednesday 16 September is looking like our first serious run at 30°C, with some eastern suburbs potentially getting there while Perth City sits agonisingly close.

And you just know how this works…

BOM: 29°C
Your car dashboard: 37°C
Old mate’s backyard weather station sitting above Colorbond: 46.8°C
Facebook comments: “Was definitely 32 at my place.” 😂

Then Thursday comes along and knocks us back to 24°C before rain returns Friday, because apparently spring in Perth is just summer and winter sharing custody of the same week.

The annual blue swimmer crab spawning closure starts tomorrow 🦀

Crabbing will be prohibited in all waters, rivers and estuaries from the Swan and Canning rivers to Minninup Beach (15km south of Bunbury), including Cockburn Sound.

The closure runs from 1 September to 30 November and helps to protect breeding crabs during their spawning period - supporting healthy crab stocks and sustainable fishing opportunities for future generations.
