A late post from last week’s site visit.

After just four days on the job, the team at had worked at a rapid pace for demo! Thanks team!

Just about everything was gutted and they’d uncovered some gems from the original build! Not 💎 unfortunately, but things like plumbing pipes cut through load bearing walls, and also uncovered a few leaks!

Sadly (not really) my wardrobe will be expanded to make some space for the ducted air conditioning pipes! ❄️

We moved everything into storage for the builders to start demo today! (Along with last minute offloads on marketplace)! ⁣It’s weird seeing the house empty, but exciting at the same time!

We arrived at the rental counter to find they’d closed due to TC Alfred (without notifying us)! Thanks fully was open and had a truck available! ⁣

It was a hairy drive back to Brisbane in the wet, but we’re all safely tucked away and looking forward to progress updates over the next 8 months! ⁣

After five years of being Superhosts and opening our home as an Airbnb, last January we sold our Brisbane house to downsize and give us the opportunity to spend more time at magical Mudjimba!

One year on, and we’re ready to start renovations to make our holiday home our dream home!

Fences arrived today ready for demo on Monday! We just have a small cyclone to get through before then and find some time to finish getting furniture into storage!

Excited to have an amazing A team making our dream a reality!!
