The group was inspired by an incredible guest speaker - legendary Norwegian polar explorer Børge Ousland! 🧭❄️

Børge was the first person to cross Antarctica solo and has led countless remarkable polar expeditions. His stories of endurance and exploration left everyone in awe.

We are thrilled to announce that after a rigorous recruitment process, we're delighted to welcome Kelly Baildon and Jared Daunt (starting Monday) as our new Student Horizons Regional Heads of Co-curricular Tours – Sport, Music, and Study!

Kelly brings a wealth of experience as an educator and global explorer, having taught PE, Maths, and Science in Queensland schools before delivering transformative programs across Africa, Asia, and South America through international volunteering. His passion for combining education with travel – honed at Tutero supporting schools with innovative tools – makes him the perfect fit to craft unforgettable student experiences.

Jared is a seasoned leader in educational travel and boarding schools, with deep roots at Student Horizons (previously as Head of Sports Tours Australia) and most recently as General Manager at the Australian Boarding Schools Association. Holding degrees in Sports Management and Health & Physical Education from UQ and Torrens University, plus Harvard leadership training, he excels in programme development, events, and raising aspirations through world-class overseas tours.

Together, Kelly and Jared will drive our sport, music, and study tours to new heights, creating "Experiences for Life" for students across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Her leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our schools and students have set a high standard for excellence across our organisation.

Now leading our Canberra division, Jane continues to embody the values that define Student Horizons — safety, Teamwork, integrity, and dedication to creating meaningful educational travel experiences.

We’re proud to announce a new long-term partnership with the International Coalition of Girls'​ Schools (ICGS) — becoming their Exclusive Preferred Educational Travel Strategic Partner across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

This collaboration, commencing in 2026 and extending through to 31 December 2031, will see Student Horizons and ICGS work together to empower girls through transformative educational travel that fosters global awareness, leadership, and confidence.

Together, we’re opening new pathways for girls to explore the world and realise their potential. 🌏✨
