Community Notification – Temporary Street Closure
Re: Jacobs Drive Closure – Saturday 12 July 2025

Please be advised that Jacobs Drive, Sussex Inlet, will be temporarily closed on Saturday 12 July 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:30pm to facilitate the Christmas in July event.

The road closure will extend from the top of the roundabout at Neilson Road to the end of the Cinema. Detours will be in place to help manage traffic during this time.

This event aims to support local businesses, residents, and visitors by creating additional opportunities for engagement and activity during the winter and school holiday period.

🍺 MEET THE BREWER THAT MAKES YOUR BEER 🍺

Steve House from Swordfish Brewing

Like all good Aussie brewers Steve started brewing with a Coopers kit in his spare room. He quickly started drying hopping extract tins and experimenting with wort kits and liquid yeast before setting up an all-grain system in the garage.

His commercial brewing started with a 10 hectolitre system at Resin Brewing but he now runs Swordfish Brewing. He loves brewing (and sampling) all styles of beer from Lagers through to Hazy’s and everything in between.

Sussex Gem just got a whole lot cooler! We have installed an air conditioner to keep our guests cool on those hot summer days and nights.
