A quiet moment inside Cunault Abbey, captured by tour leader Dr Kathleen Olive ahead of our Bordeaux, the Dordogne & the Loire tour. The church lies only a few meters from the banks of the Loire and was an important community during the Romanesque period. The wooden furniture here was for storing priests’ vestments and is one of the only examples to survive.
