Cycling the fabulous Shimanami Kaido πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. Connecting six islands with six bridges it is really a cyclist’s paradise. Although we had to tough it out against some strong headwinds, our group rode with smiles for a great day out. πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
Stopped at Sunset Beach for a quick swim 🏝️
Dinner was a more casual style okonomiyaki - delicious local favourite and entertaining to watch it being prepared. A fun night out for everyone πŸ₯’

Naoshima Island - a fantastic day on the art island. πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ to see sculptures, beaches, museums, art houses and views across the islands. Great place to cycle with a mix of interesting art works.
Pre dinner drinks was time for tasting the sake from the previous days ride.
Finished the day with a 13 course local gourmet group dinner. Wonderful day πŸ‘

Cycling around the Peace Park, hearing stories from our local guide whose family experienced the A-bomb in 1945. Information on pre-war, wartime and post-war in the city was so interesting. Seeing the monuments and city on e-bikes was a fun way to get around πŸš΄πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅
