Flowers are a wonderful feature of Falkenberg each summer. The municipality cultivates 400 - 600 different plant types each year in its 1500sqM glass house. Each year has a different floral theme. Pre-school children provided the inspiration for the flowering bedroom in the centre of the city popn. 24,000.

12 months ago, we visited an inspiring young couple building their traditional Long House. Yesterday, the Kattegat tour group again visited to witness progress made. 40,000 recycled bricks used in the 24 cm wide walls and 2 cm thick oak floor boards to be overlaid on insulated up and down stairs floors.... Completion date?. The Aug 2026 Kattegat touring group has been invited in for coffee to celebrate what is expected to be a fully completed, traditionally made beautiful family home.

Exciting to be heading north on the 390km Kattegat Coastal Cycle Path after the day in Helsingborg Sweden. Tropical Beach was looking sad at summers end in a city that is an excellent launching pad for one of Europes best cycle routes.

Great to be back in Copenhagen pre the iconic Sweden Kattegat Coastal CycleTour. Only in Copenhagen would not be surprised, to come across a cycling exhibition. "A photographic journey capturing the life, rhythm and freedom of cycling. Each ride holds its own poetry; a golden night sky, wheels singing on cobblestones and fleeting encounters with fellow cyclists. Aim of the exhibition? " To show that the bicycle is more than a means of transport. It is a way of life and a symbol of the cities plus". BRAVO!

A seven course Cambodian feast at Mahob at Moos in Meeniyan including Grilled Phnom Penh corn cob and a yummy crunchy red rice dessert (and a bottle or three of excellent Gippsland pinot noir) made for a superb last nights dinner on the recent 6 Day Gippsland GS Rail Trail tour. Other gourmet highlights included straight from the oven hot cross buns at Milly & Romeo's and lunch in the lofty surrounds of the Loch Village Foodstore and Cafe.
