Originally built in 1721, the Saint Olof Chapel was demolished in the 1870's and rebuilt in stone. In 1930 Erik Salven heard about the original timber chapel and he located a farmer who had the original timber ceiling paintings stored in his attic. Inspired, Erik set about tracing artifacts from the original chapel incl. spiral columns at the alter from the USA. Erik also found photos of the original buiding. After 19 years the original chapel re- build was complete. The inauguration of Saint Olof Chapel edition 2 took place on 1950. On the rocks next to the Chapel a bell tower with twin bells was also built.
