We spent the weekend deep in the wilderness in a very cold yet beautiful place, exploring and fishing.

WARRUMBUNGLES WANDERING Part three...

Everything about this landscape was breathtakingly "Australia" ..The red earth, the Xanthorrhoeas, huge sweeping views and beautiful night skies.

It sure was hot in the daytime, but the tracks around here have a few water tanks and springs for back up (we carried enough each day, just in case).

I'm really looking forward to coming back here in winter to climb more of the difficult off-track areas. Climbing Bress Peak in 35c weather, bashing through spinifex was fun, but sweaty work!
