Into day 4 of our tour around Iceland! Started with sensational sunshine and warm weather in Reykjavik, and now a bit cloudy and some fog on the east coast.

Morocco… now there’s a name that stirs the imagination.

We’ve been fine tuning this one for a while, and it has shaped up to be something pretty special. Think ancient medinas, vast deserts, rugged mountains, and roads that seem purpose-built for motorcycle touring.

So, what’s on the list?

Marrakech, Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley, Berber villages, kasbahs, spice markets, camel caravans… and of course, those endless Moroccan horizons that just keep rolling on.

This is a land of contrasts, snow-capped peaks one day, sweeping desert dunes the next. Tight mountain passes, wide open roads, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop, take your helmet off, and just look around for a minute.

Kathmandu to Lhasa then on to Everest Base Camp, on Enfield Himalayan 450's. Incredible landscapes, fantastic roads, great hotels, awesome food! Our group has climbed successive 5,000m passes on our way to the big one tomorrow, Everest!

This is exciting! We were approached a little while ago by an operator in East Africa who proposed a partnership with WOW, running motorcycle tours through Kenya and Tanzania.
So off to Nairobi we did go, and we've been putting some work into designing our initial *African Adventures* itinerary -- how about this for a starting list of evocative names: Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro, Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Zanzibar, Nairobi, Mt Kenya, Great Rift Valley. The Cradle of Civilisation. Big game National Parks. Elephant, giraffe and rhino hunts -- but only with your camera. Lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, wildebeest, warthog, zebra, buffalo, kudu, gazelle, hippo, crocodile, and the list goes on ...

Here's a great vid from Justin Carew, the 'Big Kahuna', just 20 years in the making! In 2006 our Himalayan Heights tour had us crossing the 4,000m pass Rohtang La three times. First time, heading north as per usual. But then the road further north was blocked by big landslides, so we reversed our usual anti-clockwise loop, and headed back across Rohtang a second time. When we'd finished our two-week clockwise loop the landslides had been cleared and we rode south from Leh, across Rohtang for the third time. A challenging ride, as you'll see from some of the spills! 😄 The 20 year old footage is a bit grainy, but the still shots are fantastic photos. It's worth 40 minutes of your time. One of our bigger groups, I think 22 people on 18 bikes, from back in the day when we were still called Ferris Wheels...
