We are back!

Hughs coach always tells him a good skier can ski anything trust and believe.

Well the same apply as an entrepreneur. A good entrepreneur can do all facets of the company. I trusted and I believed. I have to admit coming out of COVID as a Buinsess was the hardest mountain I climbed!

Making it to the top the rewards are paying off.

I promise to my friends, family and my guest me and my crew will exceed your expectations!

It’s an Atomic Bomb – NY Times – No it’s not!

The bushfires in Australia have given me the opportunity for 3 battles this season. Cancelling of fireworks, defending my ski accommodation in Jindabyne, and now defending Australia Tourism.

1. On a previous post I posted on why the Sydney NYE Fireworks must go on and so they did!

2. My ski accommodation in Jindabyne is under threat and I will win this battle, the accommodation provides staff accommodation to the great region so all of our tourists are looked after by ski instructors, service providers etc.

3. THE GREATEST BATTLE, TOURISM OUR 2ND GREATEST INDUSTRY (50 BIILION) IS UNDER THREAT!

The Australian Bush Fires are a natural disaster, there are no arguments for that. Extreme images sell news, extreme images proved a platform to debate political/policy decisions. We must put this into perspective, this negative press is hurting our Tourism Industry. The very people that have been effected by the bush fires still rely on their jobs to rebuild. The bushfires are contained predominantly to regional areas that have affected our great summer/school holiday domestic travellers. As Local’s we have changed our travel plans and provided other area’s with our tourism spend.

International Travellers, there has been very little effect to the regions you visit. All capital cities and most major regions are open for business.

Once again I stress that we must put the bushfires into prospective. I have lived through Hurricane Andrew, Florida did not shut down for business. Yes, the City of Homestead in Dade County was devastated but business went on as usual in the Florida Key’s and North from Ft Lauderdale

Australia is grateful for the international and domestic outpouring of support but speaking of how can we help Australia, let’s follow then Famous Face of a bush fire victim Turia Pitt. She has launched a platform/campaign It’s a platform for small businesses affected by the fires to promote themselves freely and to start the process of rebuilding. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE VERY WELCOMING BUT BOOKINGS AND TRAVLLERS IS WHAT AUSTRALIA NEEDS IF YOU WANT TO DO YOUR PART!

Australian Tourism Suppliers, Travel Agents, Small business and Travellers. I have set up a new FB page called AUSTRALIA MIUST GO ON please post realtime photo’s showing Australia is safe, great and open for business.

Please note these views are the views of the Director of Sensational Sydney Cruise’s a dual citizen of the USA and Australia that has a great passion for his home Australia.

Thank you Turia Pitt for your inspiration.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks – The Show must go on!

Sensational Sydney Cruise’s believes the show must go on! The Sydney fireworks will not be cancelled!

Whilst Sensational Sydney Cruises is compassionate about the bush fires, we believe the show must go on! Sydney has already spent over 6.5 million dollars for this years firework display. The Fireworks provide the local economy with 130 million dollars of revenue. Our guests have booked almost a year in advance to view this once in a lifetime experience. Our crew, suppliers all depend on this revenue for their living. To suggest the fireworks be cancelled in light of the bushfires would be hurting the 1st and 2nd largest industry in Australia. (Services & Tourism). To cancel the Sydney Fireworks would be telling the world we are closed for business, this would have a large negative effect on our 50 billion dollar Tourism industry!

We have seen articles stating that if the southerly winds are too high the fireworks could be cancelled. The BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) Are predicting a gusty southerly change 30 to 45 km/h in the evening. To put this into prospective in 2002 the 9:00 fireworks had to be cancelled due to high winds, 90 km/h! The 12:00 fireworks still went on!

Therefore based on the information provided it is of our opinion that the Sydney Fireworks will not be cancelled.

Happy New Year! Shawn
