5 days in Ho Chi Minh City and I’m officially obsessed 🇻🇳✨
We landed in Ho Chi Minh City right in the middle of Tết— the city was buzzing, flowers everywhere, locals celebrating, and restaurants packed with families. The BEST kind of chaos.
Day 1:
Arrived in the evening and headed straight to a busy local spot for dinner. Nothing fancy, just tiny plastic chairs, ice-cold drinks, and the kind of Vietnamese food that makes you question everything you’ve ever called “pho.”
Day 2 (Culture + Foodie Heaven):
Morning exploring history at the powerful War Remnants Museum, checked out Book Street then wandered through the stunning pink Saigon Central Post Office and visited the beautiful Jade Emperor Pagoda.
Afternoon = Michelin-guide street food tour… on the back of a scooter 🛵🔥 Zipping through traffic, stopping for hidden gems, eating like locals. Core memory unlocked.
Day 3:
Full-day cruise along the Mekong River— visited a local honey farm, coconut candy workshops, lush jungle canals. The Mekong is pure magic.
Day 4 (Coffee + Foodie Dreams):
Explored the iconic The Cafe Apartments tried egg coffee AND salt coffee (both elite tier ☕️).
Lunch at Hoa Tuc (Michelin recommended & SO worth it).
Of course, a stroll through Ben Thanh Market in between for souvenirs and sensory overload.
Dinner at Man Moi modern Vietnamese done right.
Day 5:
Self-care morning: nails done, 4-hand massage (yes, FOUR 🤯), and the dreamiest head spa before flying home.
Ho Chi Minh City — chaotic, flavorful, historic, energising. I’ll be dreaming about the coffee and the scooters for a long time.
Save this for your Vietnam itinerary 🇻🇳✨ 🇻🇳
