An amazing place to visit and explore!

Pretty special news to wake up to 💚

Port Douglas has been ranked Australia’s #2 tourism town in Australian Traveller’s 2026 100 Best Towns in Australia to visit AND named the country’s top Adventure & Nature destination 🌴

The timing feels especially meaningful as our team and local operators head into day one of ATE, Australia’s biggest international tourism trade event, proudly showcasing Port Douglas & Daintree to the world.

A huge thank you to our operators, local businesses and community who help make this place so special every single day.

ANZAC Day endures as a solemn and unifying moment in the Australian and New Zealand story—a time when memory, sacrifice, and national identity converge in the quiet of dawn.

Its origins lie on the shores of Gallipoli in 1915, where young members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed far from home, confronting conditions beyond anything they had known. What followed was not a story of triumph, but of something far more enduring: courage in the face of adversity, unwavering loyalty, and a resilience that would come to shape a shared national character.

Each year on 25 April, the stillness of early morning carries profound meaning. In that silence, we honour those who served and remember those who never returned. The bugle’s call, the laying of wreaths, and the words *“Lest we forget”* are not echoes of the past—they are living acts of remembrance, connecting generations across time.

ANZAC Day is not only about war. It is about people: bonds forged under hardship, letters written home, and lives interrupted or forever changed. It acknowledges loss while honouring the strength and humanity revealed through it. In remembering, we are reminded of the true cost of conflict and the enduring value of peace.

Today, the ANZAC spirit lives on—not on distant battlefields, but in everyday acts of courage, mateship, and perseverance. It is reflected in communities that stand together, in service given in new forms, and in a shared commitment to look after one another.

As the sun rises, so too does remembrance. And in that light, the legacy of the ANZACs continues—steady, solemn, and never forgotten. Lest We Forget..

Hyde Park in Sydney is an incredible place to explore, offering long, tree‑lined avenues, elegant fountains, and wide open lawns that create a peaceful retreat right in the middle of the city. The moment you step inside, the noise of the CBD fades into the background, replaced by the sound of rustling leaves, distant water, and people relaxing under the shade of towering fig trees.

A day spent in Sydney, Australia offers an energy and beauty that few cities can match, and moments in the heart of the CBD often highlight just how special this harbour city truly is. Among its most iconic landmarks, the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) continues to stand with remarkable presence, a masterpiece of late‑19th‑century architecture that remains one of Sydney’s most treasured shopping and cultural destinations.
