1. They’re incredibly intelligent 🧠
Watching an octopus explore, investigate your camera or interact with its surroundings makes you realise you're not just looking at another marine animal — you're watching a seriously clever creature.
2. Every encounter is different 👀
One minute they're sitting quietly in a crack, the next they're changing colour, shape and texture, crawling across the reef or disappearing right in front of you. No two octopus encounters feel the same.
3. They’re masters of disguise 🎨
For divers, spotting an octopus is often half the fun. Their ability to change colour, pattern and texture can make them almost impossible to see — until you suddenly realise you've been swimming past one the whole time.
4. They can really put on a show! 💃

There’s something humbling about sharing a dive with an animal so different from us. Eight arms, three hearts, incredible camouflage and an intelligence unlike almost anything else underwater — yet somehow we're both just curious about each other.
