Virginia is for Camping Lovers! Plan an outdoor getaway to one of these gorgeous campgrounds. From beachfront camping with stunning ocean sunrises to trailside campsites in Virginia’s national parks, you’ll find incredible spots to pitch your tent on your next visit.

❤️ Mount Rogers National Recreation Area in
& is home to the highest peak in Virginia. It is also home to a large population of wild ponies, but remember don't pet the ponies and pick up after yourself.

❤️ False Cape State Park in is the perfect coastal camping getaway. Camping is permitted year-round but there is no vehicular access to the park. You can enter through the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge during daylight.

❤️ New River Trail State Park in is a 57-mile stretch along the New River, the oldest river in North America. The park has four primitive campgrounds to choose from.

❤️ offers visitors a chance to camp in one of the most beautiful parks in the country. Mathews Arm and Loft Mountain Campgrounds have a mixture of reservable and first-come, first-served sites. Lewis Mountain Campground offers first-come, first-served sites only. Be sure to check their website for any closings before you go.

❤️ Big Meadows Campground is the only site in by reservation only. Enjoy easy access to may of the most popular destinations in the park.

❤️ North Bend Park & Campgrounds on the John H. Kerr Reservoir offers primitive campsites with electric/water hookup sites on or near the lake. Take advantage of nearby nature trails, beaches, and 3 boat launch areas.

Looking for a new thrill on your next vacation to Virginia? Come to Southwest Virginia where offers family-friendly ATV, hiking, equestrian, and biking trail systems. This world-class riding destination has over 400 miles of trails over 7 trail systems for any skill level.

ALL riders and drivers must have a permit or day pass before entering the trail. Permits can be purchased at select retailers near the trail systems and the Spearhead Main office in the Coeburn location. 3 Day permits can be purchased online and your receipt will act as your permit for 72 hours.
