Whiterocks ‘54 Chev visits Whitefields Farm.
My parents owned this farm on Eden Valley Rd near Craneford. Eden Valley Rd was deviated through our paddock at Landers Corner to make a sweeping bend leaving a stranded triangle of land. Our family lived on the farm part time and part time at the Pub in Angaston (The Barossa Hotel as it was known then). When at the farm I’d catch the school bus from the farm into Angaston Primary School. I learnt to drive on a Massey Ferguson (a grey Fergy) at about 12 years old on the farm and the roads nearby. Driving the truck on those roads certainly brought back memories

‘54 Chev finds an older truck, a circa 1920s Dodge located at A H Doddridge’s blacksmith shop in Angaston, the truck is Mr Turner’s butcher’s truck and it still runs after 100 years. Next to it is a doctor’s buggy from Mt Gambier.
As a kid I’d walk past Mr Doddridge’s shop twice a day on school days to and from school and talk with his Cocky and to Mr Doddridge as he made hose shoes and wooden and iron wheels
