We did it! 🇮🇳🏍️⛰️

Today our Aussie Bike or Hike “Roof of the World” tour reached Umling La — the highest road in the world.

To stand up there at 5,799 metres in the middle of the Himalayas is something pretty special, but what made it even better was seeing every single rider in our group make it to the top. An incredible effort by all involved.

Limited WiFi means limited posts, but here’s another photo dump from the last few days.

We’re deep in the Himalayas now and currently in the peaceful town of Leh, surrounded by some pretty incredible scenery.

It’s been an amazing few days of riding, big mountain roads, and plenty of unforgettable moments along the way. From here we keep pushing forward toward the highest road in the world, which we should reach in 2 days’ time.

Our “Roof of the World” Tour has been fantastic so far!

We’re now 6 days into the adventure and have just enjoyed a rest day in the beautiful mountain town of Manali.

We thought it was the perfect time to share a few photos from the trip so far. Plenty of great riding, incredible scenery, and unforgettable experiences already with the highest mountains still to come!

Day 3- Best Day yet !

Day 3 of our India Motorcycle Adventure and what a day it turned out to be!

We rode from Chandigarh to Mandi, stopping at the incredible Gurdwara Sri Kesgarh Sahib and the stunning Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum in Anandpur Sahib. From there, the mountains started to appear and the roads became an absolute rider’s dream, with endless twists, climbs and descents.

A fantastic mix of culture, scenery and some epic riding as we continue our journey towards the Himalayas. We finished the day in Mandi, where the team began preparing for the higher altitudes ahead.

Day 2: India's Wildest Ride! The adventure truly begins on the Roof of the World Tour 2026.

Join Aussie Biker Hike as we leave the urban sprawl of Delhi behind and embrace the epic chaos of India's roads. We traded train tracks for tire tracks and finally met our steeds: the beastly new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450s!
We set our sights on Bardi, and the route did not disappoint. We got hit with everything:

bone-jarring traffic that defines India, slick monsoon rain, and mud that tried to swallow us whole. And the noise!
