Visit Temora The Temora Visitor Information Centre provides a diverse range of information and assistance to tourists travelling through the area.

Located with the Bundawarrah Centre which is also home to the Temora Rural Museum and Temora Ambulance Museum, the modern facility provides free WiFi, public toilets and has a great range of merchandise for sale, including local green stone and artwork. Our friendly staff are all local residents with extensive knowledge about things to see and do in Temora Shire. There is plenty of parking for cars, caravans, and motorhomes. Tea and coffee facilities are also available.

A new chapter in local healthcare is taking shape with the transformation of the nearly 90-year-old hospital into a state-of-the-art $95 million facility.

Designed to meet the needs of our growing community for generations to come, the new Temora Hospital will feature an expanded Emergency Department, modern inpatient wards, birthing and nursery services, operating theatre, allied health and community health spaces, pathology, and upgraded medical imaging.

For the first time, Temora will also have onsite CT and ultrasound services, reducing the need for patients to travel for essential scans.

With improved parking, better facilities for patients, staff and visitors, and spaces designed to attract and retain healthcare professionals in regional NSW, this redevelopment is an investment in both the community and our future.

It's wonderful to see this exciting project coming to life and the positive impact it will have on Temora for many years to come.

The opening of Temora Railway Station in September 1893 marked the beginning of nearly a century of rail travel, with the station serving as a bustling hub where passengers, mail and freight all arrived and departed by rail.

It was restored in 2014 and is now home to Railway Temora, a working rail yard, a museum showcasing railway memorabilia, visitor facilities, Platform Y and a welcoming precinct that continues to connect travellers to the region.

…and don’t miss the heartfelt tribute to Temora’s beloved railway dog, Boofhead 🐾 You can find a copy of the children’s book about his story at the precinct or at the Bundawarrah Centre.

Note: The museum is open on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

How lucky is Temora to have a unique piece of Australian history at the State Ambulance Museum, proudly established by the Temora Historical Society in partnership with NSW and ACT Ambulance Services🚑

Located at the Bundawarrah Centre, this incredible collection showcases the story and evolution of ambulance care, featuring iconic vehicles including Australia’s first dedicated rescue “Q Van” and the classic Holden FJ Ambulance.

✈️ With school holidays here, make sure you add a visit to the Temora Aviation Museum to your holiday plans!

Kids will love getting up close to the incredible aircraft, while older children can take the controls in a thrilling flight simulator experience.

With an on-site playground, plenty of outdoor seating and great coffee, it's the perfect place to relax after a morning of exploring the museum.

Paleface raced from 1971 - 1981, from Western Australia to New Zealand!

The legendary horse is commemorated by a life sized monument in the main street of Temora.

After much thought, Weightless Float Centre has made the difficult decision to close its doors indefinitely.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a float or sauna -now’s the time to treat yourself to one last relaxing experience.

Gift vouchers will remain valid until August, so be sure to book in and use them before then. Let’s support them over these final weeks and enjoy a moment of calm while we can.
