A little while ago, a very talented artist Caroline Healey Art , contacted me for permission to paint one of my photographs of the Twelve Apostles, Victoria.

I was so honoured that she chose my image as the inspiration for her artwork, and even more touched when she kindly sent me a print of the finished piece. I’ve now had it framed, and I absolutely love it.

Thank you again Caroline, for your beautiful work and generosity. It is very special to see a travel memory captured in such a meaningful way. ✨

Miyajima Island 🇯🇵 is a shrine island in Hiroshima Bay. Known for its UNESCO World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine and iconic floating torii gate.

Reached by a 15min ferry trip, you can visit for a day or stay overnight. Not to be missed if you visit Hiroshima.

Kyoto 🇯🇵 A beautiful evening in Kyoto experiencing a traditional Maiko performance.

Maiko are apprentice geisha, known for their stunning kimonos, intricate hairstyles and graceful dance. Seeing this centuries-old tradition up close was a truly special cultural experience.

Experiences like this are what make travel in Japan so memorable and something I love helping my clients discover.

We had a night in the town of Kawaguchiko which is at the base of Mt Fuji. Sadly the weather wasn’t on our side (we even had Mt Fuji view rooms at the hotel 😢). However on bus trip to our next stop, the clouds lifted and the sun came out and we got glimpse from the highway. We were all to happy! 🤩🗻 🇯🇵
