POV: you're watching VIVID Sydney from a kayak instead of fighting the crowds ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŒ‰
Night 1 was unreal, we hit the water with family and friends to assess viewing options, and safe to say, Sydney knows how to turn on a show.

We won't be running general public VIVID tours this year, but if you have kayaking experience and are seriously keen for a private night paddle, reach out via email and we will check availability.

Very sad day, Thoughts and prays for the families and colleagues.
These people are only volunteers and turn up at every call for help, or simply give up their weekends when we need them to assist with events.
And everyday we head out on a tour with inexperienced paddlers, we do it with the safety and reassurance knowing these guys are only a radio message away.

We stand alongside our fellow volunteers at Marine Rescue Ballina with heavy hearts.

Our thoughts, deepest condolences and unwavering support are with the families, friends and all members of the unit following the tragic loss of two respected crew members.

In times like these, the entire Marine Rescue family feels the loss together. These volunteers dedicated themselves to protecting others on the water, serving their community with courage, commitment and selflessness. Their contribution and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

From all of us at Marine Rescue Evans Head, we extend our love and support to every member of the Ballina unit and the wider Marine Rescue community during this incredibly difficult time.โš“๐Ÿ’™

Did you catch yesterday's sunset, there is no better place to watch the sunset then on the water, we paddle towards the Harbour bridge, then sit with the bridge and Blues Point behind us, grab some photos of the sun starting to set, then we get to take in the entire sunset as we paddled back to our launch spot... Now is a great time for sunset and sunrise, and our lunchtime historic tour

False killer whales inside Sydney Harbour, Australia, 21/3/26. Iโ€™m excited Sydney! Ping Wildsydneyharbour

A truly fabulous way to spend you day off with a harbour kayak and false killer whales.

๐Ÿ“ธ Shout out to Tim Griffiths from Cockatool Kayak Tours who snapped this vision yesterday on a day off!

A group of around 6-8 individuals were seen at Middle Harbour. Tim had just left Quarantine station and was about to cross the heads as this pod was heading back out to sea.

False killer whales are known to occur in Australian waters however, we know very little about them. This sighting whale be documented and directly contributes to Australiaโ€™s understanding of this species.

Thank you Tim!
