Watchmen Mowing Care and day trip services for the Tin Can Bay Rainbow Beach area. Hi Everyone. In 2013, we moved to Toowoomba, where we lived for ten years.

We are Rowan and Shannon Bestmann – the couple behind Watchmen Mowing & Maintenance. Though we are (soon-to-be) new residents of Tin Can Bay, Rowan and I both have old connections here on the Cooloola Coast. As a teenager, growing up in Maryborough, my favourite place to soak up sunshine and beach air between school terms was Rainbow Beach. Even after I had moved away for university, Rainbow remai

ned my getaway destination of choice. Rowan’s family were Gympie locals and around 1982 Rowan’s father built one of the houses still standing in Gar Street today for his own parents. This house was the hub for many family gatherings over the next 20 years and Rowan still remembers the happy times spent there. Rowan and I were married in 2009 and spent a week in Rainbow Beach for our honeymoon. Since having our own family, we have often come back to Tin Can Bay on day trips and holidays. We love the pace of life here, the calm waters and the creatures in them, the beautiful esplanade, the friendly locals and the opportunities to teach our children the many lessons about life and nature that Rowan himself learned here as a child. Early in 2023, we made the decision to return to the Cooloola Coast area. One thing we have learned through the events of the past few years is that it is a beautiful thing to live close by to the people we treasure most and to work in roles that we love. For me, that means home schooling our kids, creating a nurturing and peaceful space in our home and connecting with those in our local community who need kindness and support. For Rowan, it has meant finally having the courage and desire to leave his photography career of fourteen years and be home with our family. It also means he can now pursue his dream of mowing lawns and sculpting beautiful gardens for a living. If you have a lawn to mow or a nature strip to tidy up, a compost bin to overhaul or a driveway to gurney, Rowan would love to help. We also are looking to add holiday house cleaning to our services in the near future so watch this space. For details of current services and prices, please give us a call.
