The HAPPY PLACE at Tinnanbar

The Happy Place is located in the small beach side town of Tinnanbar, Fraser Coast Queensland. There are no shops, services or fuel stations at Tinnanbar.

With ocean views to Fraser Island, The Happy Place is the perfect holiday getaway destination and is available for holiday rental accommodation. The nearest facilities are available at Maryborough, 50km away (30mins drive). If you have any questions, feel free to message us :) Alan and Sandy

It’s always great to see the red mangrove trees and white mangrove trees flowering and sustaining the ecosystems for the marine and bird habitats. 🦀 🐦 🐢 We even saw the honey bees working them.

The best thing about Tinnanbar is it's nature! Sitting on the deck at The Happy Place and you are sure to see one of the many goannas that live here.

Welcome to The Happy Place@Tinnanbar, our home away from home located in the small quiet beachside town of Tinnanbar. Whether it’s fishing in the sheltered waters of the Great Sandy Strait, swimming and kayaking in the calm shoreline, bird watching or walking amongst the native flora, Tinnanbar is a popular holiday for everyone.

Staying at The Happy Place@Tinnanbar, you may encounter a variety of wildlife from Australian native birds and insects, goannas, large sea turtles, dugong and dolphins. In the crystal clear waters, bright orange coral, scallops and other sea life can be admired.

With views to Fraser Island, The Happy Place@Tinnanbar is north facing so guests can experience both beautiful sunrises and spectacular ’happy hour’ sunsets. At night, the Tinnanbar sky lights up with thousands of stars and if you are quiet, you may hear the Mopoke Owls call each other.

Just a short boat trip away are the popular local fishing spots including Shark Creek, Poona Creek, Kauri Creek or you can venture over to Fraser Island and Inskip point. The Happy Place@Tinnanbar can sleep a maximum of 11 guests and is a short walk to the boat ramp.
