Queensland Country’s Granite Belt was in the national spotlight this morning, with the Nine Today Show broadcasting live from the region during one of its most vibrant winter periods.

From truffles and artisan produce to fiery local flavours and colourful knitted creations, the Granite Belt’s cool, misty morning provided the perfect moment for the nation to wake up and warm up with Jumpers and Jazz.

Queensland Country Tourism is proud to work alongside Tourism and Events Queensland to create opportunities that shine a spotlight on our destinations. Strong partnerships like these help bring national attention to Queensland Country’s tourism experiences and the passionate operators behind them.

It was great to see Queensland Country Tourism CEO Sally Scott, Granite Belt Wine & Tourism’s Krista Hauritz and Philippa Ho**er, along with the incredible local community, supporting the broadcast and championing the region on a national stage.

Perfectly timed as part of our Made in Queensland Country campaign, today’s coverage put the Granite Belt front and centre, showcasing the experiences, people and places that make this region such a compelling destination.

The Made in Queensland Country campaign is officially underway and it's already making an impact.

Since launching last Wednesday, the campaign has generated nearly 5000 competition entries in just six days, demonstrating strong consumer interest in the farmers, producers, makers and experiences that define Queensland Country.

We've brought the campaign to life through launch activations at the Let's Go Caravan & Camping Show at the Brisbane Showgrounds and FarmFest 2026 in Toowoomba, connecting directly with consumers and sharing the stories behind the people who make our regions so special.

The campaign has also gained strong media traction, with coverage across Seven network and Nine.com.au while additional content, partnerships and media activity continue to roll out in the coming weeks.

A sincere thank you to our industry partners, members and local government stakeholders who have already shared campaign content across their channels. Your support is helping amplify the stories of Queensland Country's makers and inspiring more visitors to discover our destination.

Let’s keep the momentum rolling and celebrate the produce, people and experiences that are Made in Queensland Country.

Last week, our CEO Sally Scott joined Queensland’s Regional Tourism Organisation network for a series of important industry engagements focused on the future of tourism across our state.

As part of these discussions, Sally met with Andrew Powell to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Queensland Country, and the importance of keeping our regions front of mind in Queensland’s tourism agenda.

Sally also attended the Global Sustainable Tourism Summit, gaining valuable insights into the latest trends, innovations and best-practice approaches shaping sustainable tourism worldwide.

These conversations are critical to ensuring Queensland Country Tourism continues to advocate for our industry while supporting a visitor economy that protects and celebrates the landscapes, communities and cultures that make our destinations so special.

Fresh off the launch of our new Made in Queensland Country campaign, we’re excited to be sharing the stories of the farmers, producers, makers and creators who are the heartbeat of our communities — inspiring travellers to slow down, take the scenic route and discover the authentic experiences waiting beyond the city limits.

What better place to share the stories, flavours and adventures that are only Made in Queensland Country than at one of Australia’s biggest gatherings of road trippers, caravanners and adventure seekers?

This week, the Queensland Country Tourism team is on the ground at the Brisbane Caravan & Camping Super Show at the RNA Showgrounds, showcasing the people, places and experiences that make our region unlike anywhere else.

Whether it’s vineyard long lunches, country pubs, sapphire fossicking, farm gate experiences or road tripadventures, there’s never been a better time to explore Queensland Country.

If you’re heading to the show, be sure to stop by and say hello. We’d love to help you plan your next Queensland Country adventure.

Today we were proud to launch our new Queensland Country tourism campaign, shining a spotlight on the farmers, producers, makers and creators who are the heartbeat of our region.

Over the coming weeks, these stories will reach audiences across the country through partnerships with Tourism and Events Queensland, RACQ, The Weekend Edition, Nine Today, Seven Network Weekender and more.

To celebrate, we’re giving you the chance to win one of 10 incredible regional holiday prizes, valued at more than $10,000.

Plus, one lucky winner will take home our grand prize; a stunning natural green sapphire pendant valued at $3,500, handcrafted by Rubyvale Gem Gallery in the Central Queensland Highlands.

From vineyard long lunches and luxury glamping escapes to cotton farm tours, sapphire fossicking adventures and gourmet country dining experiences, these prizes showcase the very best of Queensland Country.

But this campaign is about more than prizes. It’s about the people behind the places; the farmers, producers, makers and creators whose passion, hard work and stories help make Queensland Country unlike anywhere else.
