Visitors and locals can enjoy the Tumby Bay Mangrove and board- walk. Weeks ago we watched as the flowers bloomed, now we are finding the fruits and seeds. Take a walk and see the birdlife and the plants. Ask us how the local indigenous Parnkalla people used these plants for thousands of years.

This morning I have been reminded of one great trip to a fantastic place on the Eyre Peninsula that we went on last year. Only one of many interesting and historic sites that we can share.

Did you know that we had Cornish miners at Lipson in the 1870's? Just one of the great stories in our history. Soon we will put the story of the Burrawing mine on the Tumby Bay History page, this is very interesting and has taken a lot of research.

Touring on the Eyre Peninsula can take you to fabulous deserted beaches. We recently spent a day on a great little beach enjoying the great views and the interesting rock shapes. If you use your imagination you can see the rocks talking.

It is only just the start of winter, the flowers are a bit shy yet, but check out the little native orchids that have started to emerge. There is so much to see if you take the time.
