Our winter cruises continue to delight, with today’s journey proving to be another memorable experience on the beautiful Leven River.
We made an early departure ahead of the worst of the weather, enjoying calm conditions before the wind and rain arrived. While retrieving the Jus’Leven on our return, we encountered some turbulent currents and a moderate breeze, but all went smoothly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. birdlife sightings were outstanding. We were treated to the sight of two White-bellied Sea Eagles perched in one of their favourite riverside trees, while a Swamp Harrier rested among the reeds of the wetlands. Along the way we spotted many river birds, cormorants roosting on logs, and others actively fishing the river.
Adding to the excitement, the sounder revealed plenty of fish moving through the river currents below us.
Another fantastic winter cruise showcasing the beauty, wildlife, and wonder of Tasmania’s stunning Leven River.
