Our iconic rocket playground isn’t just equipment—it’s a landmark, a memory-maker, and a beloved symbol of our town.

Generations of Tasmanians (and visitors from beyond) have climbed, slid, laughed and imagined inside that colourful rocket by the river. Guests at Ulverstone River Edge Apartments often tell us:

🌅 ANZAC Day Reflections from the River’s Edge 🇦🇺

As the sun rises over the Leven River this ANZAC Day, we pause to remember.

From the peaceful banks of Ulverstone to the distant shores where Australians and New Zealanders have served, April 25th is a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity. We honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the men and women who served—and continue to serve—our nation in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.

ANZAC Day isn’t about glorifying war. It’s about remembering the cost of peace.
The freedom to enjoy mornings by the river, shared meals with loved ones, and the simple beauty of life here in Ulverstone—all these things are precious.

We encourage our guests and community to take a moment, whether by attending a local dawn service or simply pausing in silence, to reflect on the sacrifices made for the life we cherish today.

We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Premier, the Honorable Guy Barnett to Ulverstone River Edge Apartments this week!

It was an honour to host him in our beautiful part of the world, and of course, we couldn’t let him leave without a taste of Ulverstone’s finest. He was welcomed with some equally iconic local flavour: Tasmanian Pickled Onions, proudly bottled right here in town.
